Classics & Communism in Theatre
Henry Stead and Edith Hall give papers on Classics and Communism in the Theatre of the West between the October Revolution and the Czechoslovakian Revolt. The international conference is organised by Elżbieta Olechowska (Warsaw) and David Movrin (Ljubljana). The panel moderated by Henry Stead (KCL), which will also feature papers by Justine McConnell (Oxford) and Rosa Andujar (UCL) will explore Communism's effect on the reception of classical culture in 'the West' between 1917 and 1968.
